The editorial team

Gilded Reels is written and maintained by a small editorial team based in the UK. We publish under the team name rather than individual bylines. Our pages are opinion and explanation, and we'd rather you judge them on whether they're accurate than on who signed them.

What we do

We compare a short list of UK-licensed online casinos. For each one we check the licence on the Gambling Commission register, read the welcome offer's terms in full, work through the wagering with real numbers, and note what the operator publishes about its games. Then we write it up plainly, including the parts that make an offer less attractive.

We keep the list short on purpose. Five brands we've read closely are more useful than fifty we've skimmed.

How the site is funded

The casinos we list pay us a commission when someone opens an account through our links. That's how the site pays for itself. It never costs you anything and it doesn't change the offer you get. We explain the arrangement, and how it relates to the order of our list, on the affiliate disclosure page.

What we won't do

• List a casino that isn't licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.
• Paraphrase or shorten an offer's significant terms. We quote them.
• Invent user reviews, player numbers, awards or payout times.
• Use countdowns, pop-ups or pressure to get a click.
• Suggest that gambling is a way to make money. It isn't.
• Write for anyone under 18.

Keeping things current

Offers change without notice. We recheck each operator's terms regularly and date the pages when we do; the last full check was 30 September 2026. If a casino's own terms differ from what you see here, theirs apply. Please tell us so we can correct the page.
