Privacy notice

This notice explains how Gilded Reels ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit gildedreels.co.uk or write to us. The short version: we collect very little, we don't track you, and we don't sell anything to anyone.

1. Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is the operator of Gilded Reels.

2. What we collect

When you browse

Like any website, our hosting server receives technical information with each request: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. This is kept in server logs to keep the site secure and working, and is deleted on a rolling basis, normally within 30 days.

We don't run analytics, advertising pixels, heatmaps or any other tracking scripts. We don't build profiles of visitors.

When you email us

We receive your email address, name if you include it, and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply and to fix anything you've pointed out.

Web fonts

Our pages load a typeface from Google Fonts. To deliver the font file, your browser connects to Google's servers, which see your IP address. Google states that it doesn't use this to profile users. No cookies are set by this.

3. Our lawful bases

Under UK GDPR we rely on legitimate interests for server logs (running a secure website) and for replying to your messages (answering the person who contacted us). Where we have to keep something for legal reasons, we rely on legal obligation.

4. How long we keep it

Server logs: normally up to 30 days. Emails: up to 24 months after the conversation ends, then deleted, unless we need them for a legal claim.

5. Who we share it with

Our hosting and email providers process data on our behalf under contract. We don't sell or rent personal data and we don't pass it to casinos.

6. When you click through to a casino

Links to casinos go through affiliate tracking links. Once you click one, you leave our site. The affiliate network and the casino will then process data under their own privacy policies, which we'd encourage you to read before registering. We receive only aggregated reports (for example, how many accounts were opened), not your identity.

7. International transfers

Some providers, such as Google for fonts, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Email us and we'll respond within one month.

9. Children

This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes

If we add anything that changes this picture, such as analytics, we'll update this notice and the cookie notice before it goes live.
